Honda recalling nearly 400,000 cars over ignition switch

Honda announced Monday that it is recalling 384,220 cars due to a glitch with a component of the ignition switch that can ultimately lead to a vehicle rolling away and increasing the risk of a crash.

The cars being recalled are 2003 Accords, 2003 Civics and 2003-2004 Elements, all with automatic transmission.

Car driven through Garden Grove dry cleaner

A dry cleaning store is boarded up today after a car was driven through it early Sunday morning in Garden Grove.

According to Lt. Scott Watson of the Garden Grove Police Department, the incident took place at 4:53 a.m at 13047 Magnolia St.

A 22-year-old man from San Angelo, Texas, was driving southbound on Magnolia Street approaching Garden Grove Boulevard in his white Lincoln Town Car. The car crossed the boulevard but did not follow the curve of the road, jumping the curb of a small shopping complex at the southwest corner of the intersection.

The car crashed into the drycleaners, proceeded through the back of the structure, finally being stopped by the cinderblock wall behind the complex.

Check traffic deaths, injuries in your Orange County city

A city-by-city breakdown of traffic accidents in Orange County shows that Anaheim had the most deaths and injuries in 2008.

Anaheim had 24 deaths and 3,012 injuries, according to figures provided this week by the California Office of Traffic Safety.
